One day at a Time

I am literally so tired tonight. I am exhausted. I don't know how much longer I can do these 50 hour weeks. I guess I just need to take one day at a time. I was able to finish my home buyer course today. Next step is filling out all the mortgage paperwork. Yikes. I'm so nervous about that. There are so many steps to this; but I have to take it just like my 50 hour work weeks, one step at a time.

Fear of the White Coat

I actually don't fear doctors.  I do tend to fear if they are going to actually be treating me with me in mind, or the insurance and pharmaceutical industry in mind.  Anyways, I had my first full physical since 2014 today. I don't recommend you go that long between physicals.

Luckily, everything turned out great in my labs.  For a while, I've been worried my thyroid could be off. I'm almost always tired and I can't seem to shake this excess weight, no matter how hard I work out.  I guess I'm glad that everything is fine, I just wish this weight would have a reason for sticking to me like glue.  I've been using my fitness pal to keep track of my food intake and keep me accountable.

Also, sleep is a huge component of health.  I never seem to get enough anymore.  Maybe it's because almost every night is a dream about my ex or the fact that I can't stop scenarios playing out in my mind. Anyways, I was told to try melatonin.  Walgreens was having their buy one get one free sale; I'm set for 4 months now. Hopefully this will help. Speaking of sleep...I'm going to go get some zzzzz

zzz

I'm sorry, I must apologize for being so bland this week.  I am so incredibly tired.  My ability to make cohesive sentences  with proper grammar goes down in conjunction with the level of my tiredness.  Say what? Sleep is important! Go get some!

Habits - WAKE UP!

I have been testing out a new schedule and morning routine.  I've been trying to wake up around 4:30.  I usually get up around 5:30, walk the dogs, eat, and get ready for work.  I've been able to wake up, but about 8:30 at night, I am ready for bed!  Tonight I was going to read until 7:30 and then head to the gym for 30 minutes.  I totally fell asleep and didn't wake up until 8:15.  I'll keep working on this schedule so that I can make it a habit!
Waking up is hard for me.  I'm not a morning person and I've usually been waking up around 9:30/10am recently.  It is late now, and I need to keep practicing following my night time routine as well.  GET TO BED, sleepy-head.

New Day

Ah!  Today was my first day at my new job.  It was so much fun and lots of information.  The first day was mostly paperwork, polices, core values and mission statements, benefits, and getting familiar with the company.

My reading for the next week or so is probably going to just be manuals and benefits.  I am still reading A River in the Sky and loving it.

I do need to go to bed though, I am exhausted.  My alarm first went off at 4:15 this morning!  I got up around 5 and have been going ever since then.  Must have sleep!

Sleep Potions and Halloween

Health:  I've been getting up early and getting a workout in.  I usually do 10 Minute Trainer with Tony Horton and then yoga or a run.  The first two mornings I was waking up before my alarm at 4:45am.  Monday I woke up at 3:15!  Yesterday, I slept in a little bit...until 5:45 :/  I came home from work so tired yesterday, I honestly went to bed by 9:30 and I slept in until 5:30 and then did my training with Tony.  It just goes to show how important sleep is to health.  I was so emotionally all over the place (typical for me when I'm tired).  I needed the few extra hours of sleep and I'm going to have to figure out how to get to bed a little earlier and still get stuff done.  5 1/2 hours is not enough for me to run off permenantly.  I can do it for a while, but my health for sure suffers without some good shut eye. He's really not my favorite; in fact he quite annoys me. However, he has inspired me a bit in my yoga practice and how to add weight lifting moves to my yoga. Inspiration is really good even if I think he's the most annoying person ever; and I won't turn away any inspiration.  I just made up my playlist for Halloween Happy Hour yoga tomorrow.  I am so super excited for it.

Relationships: Stagnated on the husband front to wanting him here NOW and just plain not being patient enough to wait on God's timing.  My friendships have also been stagnating because I feel like I'm mostly job and attempting to stay fit.  I need to get out and see my friends more and talk to them more!

Career:  I can't say enough about how much I like the products my two companies put out. Products for healthy, alternative living for humans and animals :)  Now that's something I can really get behind.

Here's my playlist so you can find and jam out too!
